How to add/edit knowledge base sections?

Organize your help document in simplest way so that your customers could easily locate them. The easier it is for a user to get an answer, then the better the user’s experience and everybody wins. That’s where Sections comes in to helps you organize all your helpdesk docs in easy to find locations.

AssistFlow allows you to organize your articles in the following tree structure: Base section> Sections > Sub-sections > Articles. You can create hierarchies as per your business requirement.

To Manage your knowledgebase section go to Tools tab from top menu and select Knowledge base from drop-down list. Only staff with permission to Manage knowledge base can access this page.

Add Section

To add new section go to Section tab from Knowledge-base tab from side menu.

Click on Add section from Section toggle.

Add below details in the form:

  • Section name

  • Section slug

  • Parent section

  • Click on Save button at last.

Edit Section

To edit existing section details go to Section tab from Knowledge-base tab from side menu.

Click on All section from Section toggle.

You will see the list of all available sections.

Select section from the list which you would like to modify, click on Edit icon from Actions.

Modify the details and click on save button at last.

Delete Section

To delete section go to Section tab from Knowledge-base tab from side menu.

Click on All section from Section toggle.

Select section from the list which you would like to delete, click on Section Name of selected section.

Here you will see section details and list of all articles under this Section.

From left side view click on "Move and Delete Section" button.

You will see the option to move all article from deleted sections to other.

Once you done click on "Move & Delete" button.
